THE ROLE OF AN EKG TECHNICIAN 

EKG Technicians perform various tests on a patient's heart and lungs, primarily focusing on electrocardiograms (EKGs). They are responsible for:

  • Attaching wires to a patient’s arms, chest, and legs.

  • Monitoring EKG readings.

  • Reporting the test results.

Program Details

  • Registration Opens: July 15.

  •  
  • Program Length: 12 weeks (September 9, 2024 - December 19, 2024), Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.

  • Tuition Costs: $1,000.00 (Non-refundable deposit of $250.00 required before the class starts).

  • Additional Student Costs: Textbook, black scrubs, calipers, AMCA exam, CPR, and stethoscope (discussed at orientation).

Payment Plans

  • Interest-free payment plans are available through MTAEC.

  • A deposit is required to secure a place in the class.

  • The remaining balance can be spread over the 12-week course period (3 payments of $250.00 every 4 weeks).

Withdrawal Process

  • The school may cancel or postpone the program due to low enrollment.

  • If the program is canceled or postponed, and the student cannot be placed in another program, a full refund of all fees (including the registration fee) will be provided.

  • Fees for textbooks, uniforms, background and drug tests, and basic supplies are the student's responsibility and are non-refundable.
